NEW 2010-2011 Musical Release from Michael Joseph

The long awaited Follow-up to “O-Glepi,” includes some odd time signatures, a little finger-style picking, is dynamic more structured. Yet, includes an even more diverse cultural feel with a broader mix of ethnic music. We feel it still pulls off the heart and soul that was presented in “O-Glepi,” yet the verdict is still out.

The theme of this release is more evident on the hard-copy release packaging. The 6-panel CD enclosure includes Liner notes for each individual track, as well as photo's to hopefully aid in your musical journey. However, each individual should hopefully get something unique from this album.

Performing as a duo with John Weills ( Alabama Thunderpussy) Performing Lonesome high country sounds, none of that Trace Adkins style nonsense. Michael Joseph performs guitar (as Mike Ulery) for this amazing vocalist. Check out info on the calender page.

We have finalized artwork and the recording for the upcoming release. Off to press!

What a great performance and response! Also, enjoyed playing improve with some other fine performers and friends. I think we'll put together a work-shop for next year.

Mastering has been delayed for a few months. Will anyone return calls? The laziness in this industry is rediculous!

I have decided to be done with the new album and track decisions. No more re-works. Besides that allows for future "enhanced" versions, right?

Have decided to re-work "Golgotha" for about the 200th time. It's hard to stop sometimes. The new version is much better though.... (for 2010 release)

I have begun finalizing the recorded tracks for my new CD. I have decided to leave off the "Jimi" Hendrix style/ inspired electric guitar experimental instrumental track. As it is over 11 minutes long, it might limit the album. So much for having a little fun... not sure if anyone would've "got it" anyway... I also think I'll save back another track for the next release. I love to do this.

A special thanks goes out to Deborah Wilson (of Heartbreak Orchestra) for her fine contribution on Cello for my new recording "Spirit Trails." We had a great time in the studio!

What a great place to perform. Sunwatch Village was again the location for the Annual Flute Convention. Thanks to John DeBoer for working us into the schedule.

Just recorded "August Moon Adagio" for an upcoming release. Had the studio windows open and ended up recording the Cicada's... cool.

Michael Joseph and Derek Mortland shall be receiving the 2009 Governor’s Award for the Arts in Ohio Individual Artist category on Wednesday, April 1st 2009.
